GLENHAM, N.Y. – Lois Ann Burns, a lifelong area resident of Glenham, died Friday, July 8. She was 77.
Born March 28, 1939, in Beacon, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Kuhn Burns.
She was a life member of Slater Chemical Ladies Aux., and a member of various community organizations. She also was a graduate of Beacon High School, as well as SUNY New Paltz.
She is survived by two sisters, Sandra Johnson of Glenham and her late husband Ralph and Elizabeth and her husband Gary Solomon of Quincy, Mass.; a niece, LeeAnn Brugger; three nephews, Ralph (Joanne) Johnson, Jeffrey Solomon and Eric (Andrea) Solomon; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Stephanie Brugger, Daniel Brugger, Nathan Solomon, and Madeline Solomon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Libby Funeral Home Inc., 55 Teller Ave., Beacon. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
